Abstract: The title compound, 2C10H12S82+·C2O42-·2Cl-, displays packing via hydrogen bonds. The oxalate anion possesses exact
and approximate D2h symmetry. Cationic columns of stacked donor molecules have weaker lateral interactions, forming layers. The Cl- and C2O42- anions form anionic layers. The two layers alternate in the crystal structure.
