Propane-1,2-diaminium selenite monohydrate

Abstract: The title compound, C₃H₁₂N₂²⁺·SeO₃^2-·H₂O, contains a network of propane-1,2-diaminium (C₃H₁₂N₂²⁺) cations, selenite (SeO₃^2-) anions and water molecules. The crystal packing involves N-HO [average HO = 1.89 Å, N-HO = 165° and NO = 2.777 (3) Å] and O-HO hydrogen bonds, resulting in a layered structure.
