N-(2,5-Dichlorophenyl)-N'-[(E)-3-thienylmethylene]hydrazine

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₁H₈Cl₂N₂S, was prepared from the condensation reaction of thiophene-3-carbaldehyde with 2,5-dichlorophenylhydrazine. The azomethine C=N bond has E geometry. No thienyl ring flip was observed.
