Abstract: The Mn^III complex in the title compound, Na[Mn(C₁₄H₁₆N₂O₄)(C₄H₈O)]·CH₃OH, is an important intermediate in the synthesis of some interesting Mn^V compounds. The Mn^III atom is a paramagnetic (d⁴) species in an elongated square-pyramidal (O₂N₂O) coordination belonging to point group C_s.
