Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C₁₀H₁₂N₂O₆S, has been determined as part of an ongoing investigation into the preparation of substituted amino acids suitable for the generation of combinatorial libraries. The molecular conformation is stabilized by intra- and intermolecular N-HO and C-HO hydrogen-bonding interactions.
