Abstract: The title racemic compound, C₁₄H₂₀O₂, a tricylic diketone isolated from enamine reactions of cyclohexanone with methyl vinyl ketone, is shown to have an all-chair conformation and a cis stereochemical relationship for its methine H atoms.
