Benzimidazolium hydrogen phenylmalonate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₇H₇N₂⁺·C₉H₇O₄^-, hydrogen phenylmalonate anions are connected by O-HO hydrogen bonds to form zigzag chains. The chains are connected to each other by N-HO hydrogen bonds through benzimidazolium cations, forming a layer.
