Abstract: The title compound, C₉H₁₁BrN₂O₃, was synthesized by condensation of -alanine methyl ester with 4-bromo-1-methyl-2-(trichloroacetyl)pyrrole at room temperature. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-HO and O-HO hydrogen-bond interactions link the molecules into extended ribbons parallel to the a axis.
