Abstract: In the title complex, [Cd(C₂N₃)₂(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂], the Cd^II atom exhibits a slightly distorted octahedral environment, coordinated by four N atoms of two phenanthroline ligands and two mutually cis N-terminal atoms of two dicyanamide ligands. - stacking interactions result in the formation of one-dimensional chains extending along [110].
