Abstract: The title compound, C48H44N6O2S·2C2H3N, was synthesized by the intermolecular [3+2]-cycloaddition of an azomethine ylide, derived from isatin and sarcosine by a decarboxylative route, and 7-benzyl-9-benzylidene-2-[4-(dimethylamino)benzylidene]-5-phenyl-2,3,6,7,8,9-hexahydro-5H-pyrido[4,3-d]thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-3-one. In the molecule, the two spiro junctions link a planar 2-oxindole system, a pyrrolidine ring in an envelope conformation and a thiazolidone ring of the fused pyrimidine ring system. The packing of the molecules in the crystal structure is mainly stabilized by N-H
O hydrogen bonds.
