Bis(triethylaminium) hexaaquazinc(II) bis(naphthalene-1,6-disulfonate)

Abstract: The title complex, (C₆H₁₆N)₂[Zn(H₂O)₆](C₁₀H₆O₆S₂)₂, is formed by aggregation of one hexahydrated zinc(II) cation, two triethylaminium cations and two naphthalene-1,6-disulfonate dianions. The Zn^II cation is six-coordinate and located at an inversion center. The coordination around the metal ion is octahedral, with tetragonal elongation.
