(Z)-4-(4-Methoxybenzylidene)-2-methylsulfanyl-3-phenethyl-1H-imidazol-5(4H)-one

Abstract: The title molecule, C₂₀H₂₀N₂O₂S, exits in the Z form and the five-membered imidazole ring and the benzene ring of the 4-methoxybenzylidene moiety are almost coplanar. Short intramolecular contacts [CS = 3.138 (4) Å and CN = 3.060 (4) Å] indicate the presence of weak C-HS and C-HN intramolecular hydrogen bonds.
