Abstract: The title compound, C₃₄H₂₈N₄O₁₀·2C₃H₇NO, was synthesized by the reaction of ethyl 2-cyano-3-(3-nitrophenyl)-1-acrylate and 1,5-naphthalenediol in the presence of KF-Al₂O₃ in refluxing ethanol. The structure is centrosymmetric and the fused pyran ring adopts a boat conformation.
