There are two independent complex molecules and two solvent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The Fe atoms are octahedrally coordinated; the three S atoms and a C atom of one of the two CO ligands form the equatorial plane, with the N atom of the (SCH2CH2)3N ligand and the second carbonyl C atom lying in the axial positions. The Ni atoms are square pyramidally coordinated, with the two bridging S atoms and the P atoms of the 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane ligand forming the basal plane and the Cl atom lying in the apical position.
