Abstract: The title complex, {[Cu(C₁₀H₈N₂)(H₂O)₄](C₇H₄O₅S)}_n, shows the cation to form a linear chain in which each Cu centre exists in a distorted octahedral geometry. Interactions between the cations and anions are mediated by hydrogen bonding, which gives rise to a three-dimensional architecture.
