Abstract: The crystal structure of pyrochlore-related NaCdZn2F7 (sodium cadmium dizinc heptafluoride) has been determined via synchrotron diffraction. Zn is octahedrally coordinated by fluorine. Na and Cd are both coordinated by eight anions. Despite the different chemical characteristics and valences, no indication of ordering of Na and Cd was observed.
