Potassium sodium phyllosilicate, K_1.33Na_0.67Si₂O₅

Abstract: The two-dimensional network topology of the mixed alkali title compound, K_1.33Na_0.67Si₂O₅, is found to differ from that of the end-member compositions, Na₂Si₂O₅ and K₂Si₂O₅. The network of the silicate sheet consists of rings with four, six and eight SiO₄ tetrahedra. The cations are sandwiched between the silicate sheets.
