Abstract: The two-dimensional network topology of the mixed alkali title compound, K1.33Na0.67Si2O5, is found to differ from that of the end-member compositions, Na2Si2O5 and K2Si2O5. The network of the silicate sheet consists of rings with four, six and eight SiO4 tetrahedra. The cations are sandwiched between the silicate sheets.
