Abstract: The title compound, [Zn(C13H10N3O3)(NCS)(CH4O)], is a mononuclear zinc(II) complex. The ZnII atom has a square-pyramidal coordination geometry. In the basal plane, the ZnII atom is coordinated by one O atom and two N atoms of the Schiff base ligand, and by the N atom of a thiocyanate anion. The apical position is occupied by the O atom of a coordinated methanol molecule. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked via intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds, forming chains parallel to the a axis.
