Abstract: The title compound, C₁₆H₁₈S₂ (or L⁶), crystallizes with two half-molecules in the asymmetric unit and each independent molecule lies about a crystallographic center of symmetry. The aliphatic segment of this ligand is in an all-trans conformation.
