Abstract: The title compound, C₃₂H₂₄Cl₂O₂·C₃H₆O, was synthesized by the dimerization of 2-(4-chlorobenzal)inden-1-one, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent (TiCl₄/Zn). X-ray analysis reveals that the cyclopentane ring spiro-fused to the five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation, while the other cyclopentane ring adopts an envelope conformation.
