Abstract: The title compound, C7H5F2NO2, was prepared by the reaction of methyl 3,4-difluorobenzoate with excess NH2OH in basic solution. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked into a three-dimensional extended network by N-H
O, O-H
O, C-H
O and C-H
F hydrogen-bond interactions.
