N-Phenyl-2-(quinolin-8-yloxy)acetamide hemihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₇H₁₄N₂O₂·0.5H₂O, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle formed by the phenyl ring with the quinoline moiety is 27.30 (9)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N-HO, C-HO and O-HN hydrogen bonds involving the solvent water molecule.
