-2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone salicylhydrazidato)bis[pyridinezinc(II)] dimethylformamide disolvateAbstract: The tridentate Schiff base ligand 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone salicylhydrazide, derived from the condensation of 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone and salicylhydrazide, in the presence of pyridine and N,N'-dimethylformamide, forms a dinuclear distorted square-pyramidal Zn complex with Zn(OAc)2·2H2O, viz. [Zn2(C15H12N2O4)2(C5H5N)2]·2C3H7NO. The complex is centrosymmetric and the two Zn atoms are bridged by two phenolate O atoms.
