Abstract: The title compound, [Ru₂(C₃H₅O₂)₂(C₁₈H₁₅P)₂(CO)₄], has a dimeric structure displaying a `sawhorse' configuration, with the two carboxylate groups bridging two [Ph₃PRu(CO)₂] fragments. The compound resides on a special position, with a crystallographic twofold rotation axis lying normal to the Ru-Ru bond.
