1-Dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide monohydrate

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₁₆H₃₁N₂⁺·Br^-·H₂O, contains one crystallographically independent 1-dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium cation, one bromide anion, to counterbalance the charge, and one solvent water molecule. The halide anion forms hydrogen bonds with the H atoms of the imidazole ring and with the water H atoms.
