Abstract: The title compound, C17H14O5, a flavone, was isolated from the rhizomes of Kaempferia parviflora. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The molecular structure is stabilized by intramolecular O-H
O and C-H
O hydrogen bonds. C-H
O intermolecular hydrogen bonds and
-
stacking interactions link the molecules into a network.
