Abstract: The title compound, C10H15NO2S, commonly referred to as (1S*,2S*)-(+)-thiomicamine, forms molecular sheets parallel to the a and b axes. Within these sheets, the molecules are connected by strong O-H
O and O-H
N hydrogen bonds. The methylsulfanyl groups protrude from this network and are interwoven between adjacent sheets.
