Abstract: The title compound, {[Ni(C₂H₅NO₂)(H₂O)₄](NO₃)₂}_n, contains cis-NiO₂(H₂O)₄ octahedra linked by the glycine molecules into helical chains. Its structural relationship to other glycine metal nitrates is discussed.
