Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title two-dimensional complex, {[Cu(C₈H₄O₅)(C₅H₆N₂)₂]·H₂O}_n, the Cu atom has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. As well as O-HO hydrogen bonds within a two-dimensional layer, there are N-HO hydrogen bonds which connect layers into a three-dimensional network. In addition, there are significant - stacking interactions between layers.
