5,7-Dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinium tetrachlorocobaltate(II) monohydrate

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C₇H₈N₄)₂[CoCl₄]·H₂O, contains one [CoCl₄]^2- anion, two 5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinium cations monoprotonated at the N atom at position 3 and one uncoordinated water molecule. Hydrogen bonds define infinite chains along the a axis, which link together all residues.
