Abstract: The title compound, [CuCl2(C9H10N2)], is a mononuclear copper(II) complex. The CuII ion is coordinated by two N atoms of the Schiff base ligand and by two terminal Cl anions in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked through intermolecular C-H
Cl hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the b axis.
