C. G. Andrews and C. L. B. Macdonald

Abstract: In the structure of cobaltocenium trifluoromethanesulfonate [systematic name: bis([eta]5-cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(III) trifluoromethanesulfonate], [Co(C5H5)2](CF3O3S) or [CoCp2][OTf], the asymmetric unit contains three independent anions, together with two full and two half-cations. Two of the cations reside on crystallographic inversion centers.
