Abstract: The title compound, C₃₂H₂₄Cl₄O₂·C₃H₆O, was obtained as a by-product of the reaction of 2-(2',4'-dichlorobenzal)-1-inden-1-one induced by a low-valent titanium reagent (TiCl₄/Zn). Each of the fused cyclopentane rings adopts an envelope conformation.
