2-(2-Acetamido-5-methylbenzoyl)-1H-indole

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₈H₁₆N₂O₂, the dihedral angle between the indole ring system and the benzoyl benzene ring is 31.5 (1)°. In the crystalline state, symmetry-related molecules are linked via N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds, and - interactions to form a layer structure parallel to the bc plane.
