Abstract: The title compound, [Fe(C₅H₅)(C₁₄H₁₈NO₄)]·CH₂Cl₂, has been synthesized by the reaction of ferrocenoylacetone with DL-serine ethyl ester in ethanol. Electron delocalization is observed within the enaminone moiety.
