Abstract: The title compound, [Cu(C10H8N2)(H2O)3](C20H10O7S2·2H2O, was obtained by a hydrothermal route. The asymmetric unit contains one copper complex cation including three coordinated water molecules, one organic anion, three coordinated water molecules and two uncoordinated water molecules.
