A. Kannan, I. Dix, H. Hopf and P. G. Jones

Abstract: In the unit cell of the title compound, 11,13,41,43-tetrahydro-1,4(4,7)-di(benzo[c]thiophena)cyclohexaphane, C20H20S2, there are four independent but closely similar molecules, each with crystallographic inversion symmetry. The packing is interpreted in terms of layers formed via C-H...[pi] interactions.
