The reaction of salicylaldehyde and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine with [Cu(ClO4)2]·6H2O produced the binuclear CuII complex in which the adjacent CuII atoms are connected by a
-O bridge. One of the CuII atoms is in an elongated square-pyramidal geometry and the other has a distorted square-planar geometry.
