Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₈H₁₅N₃O₃·H₂O, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzene ring and the quinoline ring system is 26.6 (2)°. Each solvent water molecule is linked to two acetohydrazide molecules via intermolecular N-HO, O-HN and O-HO hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [010].
