Abstract: The title compound, C18H16O5, a flavone, was isolated from the rhizomes of Kaempferia parviflora. The phenyl substituent is twisted away from the plane of the benzopyran-4-one ring system by 31.05 (4)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by
-
stacking interactions between the benzopyran-4-one ring system of inversion-related molecules stacked along the a axis and C-H
O interactions between the screw-related molecules.
