Abstract: The title compound, C₂₁H₁₆ClNO, has been synthesized by the condensation reaction of dibenzoylmethane and 2-chloroaniline in the presence of p-TsOH. The enaminone structure is stabilized by a strong intramolecular N-HO=C hydrogen bond.
