Abstract: The title compound, [RuCl₃(C₁₂H₈N₂)(C₂H₆OS)]·CHCl₃, contains six crystallographically independent formula units in the asymmetric cell. The structure features alternating layers of the main molecule and CHCl₃ arranged parallel to (011).
