1-Phenyl-3-[(1-phenylethyl)amino]but-2-en-1-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₉NO, has been synthesized by the condensation reaction of benzoylacetone and L-(-)--phenylethylamine. The enaminone structure is stabilized by a strong N-HO=C intramolecular hydrogen bond.
