2-Amino-2'-chloro-5-methylbenzophenone

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₄H₁₂ClNO, was synthesized by the photo-Fries reaction of 2-chloro-N-(4-methylphenyl)benzamide in acetonitrile. The crystal structure contains intramolecular N-HO and intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds.
