Tetracaesium strontium catena-nonaselenidotristannate(IV)

Abstract: The title compound, Cs₄SrSn₃Se₉, contains infinite `dreier' [SnSe₃]^2- chains consisting of corner-linked SnSe₄ tetrahedra. Whereas the larger independent caesium cations exhibit coordination numbers of 8 and 9, a distorted octahedral environment is observed for the smaller strontium cation.
