Abstract: The title compound, [Li(C₁₆H₁₇N₂)(C₄H₈O)₂]_n, is an unsymmetrical benzamidinate exhibiting a one-dimensional chain made up of lithium-linked N-C-N units. Two tetrahydrofuran molecules complete the distorted LiO₂N₂ tetrahedral coordination.
