Abstract: The centrosymmetric title compound, [Na(H₂O)₃]₂(C₂₂H₁₂O₆)·4H₂O, was prepared by slow evaporation of an aqueous solution of sodium dibenzoylterephthalate. The uncoordinated water molecules are connected by intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
