Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C₂₀H₂₂O₆, lies on crystallographic center of symmetry. The isovanillin group makes a dihedral angle of 2.8 (5)° with the four C atoms of the central chain. A weak intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bond links molecules into extended one-dimensional chains.
