(E)-4-[4-(Benzyloxy)-3-ethoxybenzylideneamino]-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₇H₂₇N₃O₃, was prepared by the reaction of 4-(benzyloxy)-3-ethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-amino-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one. The ethylvanillin group makes dihedral angles of 72.97 (8) and 76.75 (5)° with the planes of the two terminal phenyl rings, and an angle of 39.24 (5)° with the pyrazolone ring plane. Intermolecular C-HN and C-HO hydrogen bonds help to consolidate the crystal packing.
