Erbium nickel trisilicide, ErNiSi₃

Abstract: Single crystals of ErNiSi₃ were synthesized from the corresponding elements by arc melting. The ternary intermetallic compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmmm and adopts the SmNiGe₃ structure type, with all atoms in special positions of site symmetry m2m.
