Erbium nickel trisilicide, ErNiSi3

Abstract: Single crystals of ErNiSi3 were synthesized from the corresponding elements by arc melting. The ternary intermetallic compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmmm and adopts the SmNiGe3 structure type, with all atoms in special positions of site symmetry m2m.
